History

After becoming frustrated with the troubles of corporate kitchens, our owner Colleen moved to a family owned restaurant and eventfully studied under Chicago chef Patrick Robertson. In March of 1995 she moved from North Jersey to upstate New York and bought what was about to become the Decoy. After 28 years she is still committed, alongside her husband Bob, to a family run restaurant that emphasizes both a friendly atmosphere and high quality food.

This commitment is embodied by our catch-phrase: "Come as a stranger, leave as a friend!"
